Recently, as you all know, the city of New Orleans, as well as many other gulf coast cities were destroyed by Hurricane
Katrina. Many people are using this as a time to point fingers and blame people for various faults in the system. Now is not
a time for that!
This is a time where we, the independent, garage musicians of America can leave are mark for generations. Through a series
of independent concerts, held where ever a show can be held we can raise dollar after dollar for relief efforts.
LifeAid is for unsigned musicians, with help from our organazation, to set up and run multi-band concerts (kind of like
LiveAid or Live8, just without that prick, Bob Geldof) where all proceeds go to hurricane relief. LifeAid shows can be held
anywhere, from a basement, a school, any place that will book your bands. LifeAid began as an idea in Septemeber of 2005 and
the debut LifeAid concert, which is booking right now, will be hosted in Northern Virginia. For more details, see the next
few pages.
